Bill Sawitsky, N3JJM, now a silent key

We're sorry to report that Bill became a Silent Key on Sunday, 9/9/2001. Bill had held Rooster Number 391 since 6/10/79 and was a past Rooster of the Year. His daughter, Maria Parks, sent the following to the Chief Rooster:

I am writing to inform you that this morning at 9:30am my father lost his fight with cancer.

As you all know he was a wonderful and good man. He touched many people's lives and will be sadly missed by his wife, Gloria, 6 children, 18 grandchildren and all his friends and acquaintances which his modesty would not have allowed him to believe possible. But we are glad that he is now in heaven with the Lord and pain free.
