As reported on the Rooster Net Saturday morning, Jerry, KF2ZA, became a Silent Key in the early morning of December 14, 2007 after heart valve replacement surgery. He was 69 years old at the time. He and Margaret, KF2ZB joined the net in 1994.

Mike, WB3EQW commented, "I can tell you that he was famous for his sauerkraut. He used to bring cases of it to Rooster events to pass out to all who enjoyed it. He also was the one who purchased the fresh tomatoes, and corn for the last two picnics."
