On Friday, April 3rd Merle Rigby - K2AOV and Rooster Number 75 became a Silent Key. Merle had been a long time active Rooster, and Old Buzzard as signified by his two digit Rooster number of 75. He was a long time member of the Rooster's board of advisors, and never missed a meeting. Merle learned last year that he had lung cancer, and entered treatment. Last week after a long valiant fight Merle returned home from the hospital to spend his last days. With his wife Barbara at his bedside, Merle passed away peacefully on Friday. He will be missed by anyone who has met, and known him. Merle was 80 years old.
