2016 Rooster New Year Net

Yes it is hard to believe it is upon us again. Like in past years the 2016 New Year Rooster Net will be held on Friday January 1 and will open at 6:00 AM and will conclude at 12:00 Noon. The starting net control will assign a number to each station checking in, each following net control will continue to assign a number for each new check-in.

Each net control will take check-ins or call the next station or number on the list, and it is normal to have second, third, or more call ups. If and when the net becomes dull, we do not see anything wrong with stations talking back and forth, but please keep it short as net control times are limited. If we would just open it up, it is like closing the net and we lose control of the net for new check-ins, re-checks and others waiting to make comment. This allows for participation by more net people and makes it possible for us to hear weak or mobile stations who wish to be a part of our first net for 2016.

11:00 to 12:00 Noon WB3EQW, KB3APD, with K3ATO and anyone else who wants to volunteer

We generally try to have an updated list running on-line. So it helps if your radio is near a computer.
